• The Opportunity -

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Concrete Surface Preparation Technician/Floor Tiler to join our professional team. This is a hands-on role involving concrete grinding, dust management, and application of surface sealers using specialised equipment. • Key Responsibilities -

• Operate concrete grinders (single and planetary heads) for light to medium surface preparation

• Use industrial vacuum and dust extraction systems to control airborne dust and ensure OH&S compliance.

• Apply porous primers/sealers to prepared concrete surfaces

• Conduct pre- and post-job site cleaning and equipment maintenance

• Work to site-specific SWMS and follow WorkSafe Victoria guidelines at all times

• Liaise with site supervisors to meet client specifications and deadlines

• Participate in regular toolbox meetings and safety briefings

• Assist with manual handling, loading/unloading of tools and materials

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3 years' experience in concrete grinding, sealing, or floor surface preparation

• Knowledge of OH&S best practices, especially relating to silica dust mitigation

• Proficient in using grinding equipment, sealers, and dust control systems

• Able to work independently and as part of a small team

• Strong communication and time management skills

• Reliable and physically fit for manual outdoor work

Ability to lift and carry up to 25kg regularly

Capable of standing/walking for 8+ hours

Comfortable working in various weather conditions

•White Card (Construction Induction Card)

•Forklift license or HR licence (advantageous but not essential)

• Location & Hours -

Based in Melbourne, with projects throughout Greater Metro and occasional regional/interstate work.

Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (early starts typical)

Weekend/overtime work available as needed
