Your Role

The role on offer is a fixed-term contract until June / July 2026.

As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you will be at the forefront of a major cloud transformation, consolidating and migrating multiple sites and business units into a unified ecosystem.

Working in a small team, this role is critical in ensuring a seamless transition, minimising disruptions, and implementing best practices for scalability and efficiency.

User Migration & Cloud Management

• Execute user migrations across OneDrive, SharePoint, and user profiles, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Minimise downtime and disruption through meticulous planning and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support to resolve migration-related challenges.

Identity & Access Management

• Manage Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), including user accounts, groups, and roles.
• Implement Conditional Access Policies to ensure security and compliance.
• Monitor identity risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Endpoint & Virtual Desktop Management

• Deploy and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) for seamless user access.
• Configure Microsoft Intune for endpoint security and device management.
• Utilise Autopilot for streamlined, zero-touch device provisioning.

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of experience in system administration, cloud management, or IT support.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, including OneDrive and SharePoint.
• Expertise in Azure AD (Entra ID) administration and Conditional Access.
• Proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) setup and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Intune and Autopilot for device provisioning.
• Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
• Experience working on enterprise-wide cloud migrations.
• Knowledge of compliance and security best practices in cloud environments
