About the Project

The OK Project is situated near Norseman, around 200km south of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Westauz has recently extended its underground production and development contract for a further two years and currently employs a workforce of over 120 personnel.

About the Role

The role is offered on a 7/7 roster and 12hr shifts. Reporting to the Underground shift supervisor the role will encompasses long hole production drilling activities. Duties include

Operation long hole drilling equipment

Collaboration with engineers and surveyors

Reading and accurately following mine instruction plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient and profile

Accurately drilling production holes (64mm up-holes)

Occasional drilling of service holes

Conduct daily pre-start checks and regular maintenance of equipment

Setting up and troubleshooting on long hole drill rigs

Requirements

Long hole drilling experience

Familiarity with Minnovare (desirable)

Senior first aid certificate (desirable)
