About the role

Sanctuary Memorials is seeking a skilled Monumental Headstone Installer to join our team on a contract basis in Brisbane, Queensland. As a Monumental Headstone Installer, you will be responsible for all installations of custom memorials and monuments for our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your installation of granite and marble expertise and contribute to the creation of meaningful, lasting tributes.

What you'll be doing

Visiting installation sites and reporting back to production

Preparing gravesites for laying concrete footings and building surrounding walls in preparation for granite cladding

Cladding of concrete walls with granite veneer and installing solid granite walls.

Installing granite and marble bases as well as the accompanying headstone above the base

Ensuring the accurate and timely installation of memorials at designated locations

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

Providing exceptional customer service and supporting the broader team as needed

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Monumental Stonemasonry/Installations or a related trade, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the industry

Demonstrated expertise in working with a variety of stone materials, including granite, marble, and sandstone

Proficiency in various installation techniques, including the use of hand and power tools

Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality installations of all monumental style work

Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with management and the broader team

A commitment to workplace safety and a willingness to adhere to all relevant regulations and procedures

Evidence of previous monumental headstone installations done by the applicant like photos or testimonials would be a distinct advantage
