Qualified Horticulturist / Experienced Gardener – Full Time

We’re looking for a skilled horticulturist or experienced gardener to join our award-winning team at Leaf by Leaf, based in Briar Hill. Our work spans across Melbourne — from large-scale properties to small urban gardens — with a strong client base in the north-eastern suburbs.

About the Role:

This is a diverse role that includes all aspects of garden maintenance and soft landscaping. You’ll work across a mix of properties and garden styles, taking part in:

Regular garden maintenance (mowing, hedging, pruning, weeding, seasonal care)

Soft landscaping projects, including large-scale plant-outs and full garden rejuvenations

Irrigation checks, mulching, fertilising and pest management

Working independently or as part of a small team

Operating and maintaining all standard horticultural tools and machinery

What We’re Looking For:

Strong plant knowledge and confident plant ID skills

Experience working in residential gardens across both small-scale and large-scale garden sites

Ability to work solo or collaboratively in a team

High standards of presentation and attention to detail

Positive attitude, fit and strong, reliability, and great communication

Requirements:

Cert III in Horticulture (preferred) or equivalent experience

Current driver’s licence and own transport

White Card (or willingness to obtain)

Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

A work vehicle may be available for the right candidate.
