SafeRad SE Asia Pty Ltd is a NATA accredited global leader in Close Proximity Radiography and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services, primarily serving the Oil, Gas, Mining, and Construction sectors. Their patented SafeRad system allows for radiography with significantly reduced exclusion zones, often less than 1 meter, by containing the radiation beam with specialized shielding like GammaBlok. SafeRad is looking for highly skilled and qualified NDT Technician to join its team in Western Australia to continue servicing its clients.
Essential Criteria for Technicians:
PCN/AINDT level 2 Radiography with a Minimum of 3 years' experience using close proximity Radiography
WA Radiation Licence or Assistants Licence
Current and Valid Driver's License
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment medical including D&A Fitness for work
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out and certify NDT inspections
Interpret and evaluate results in terms of existing codes, standards and specifications
Detect and identify defects and assist in drafting reports
Operate applicable workshop plant, tools and equipment (where trained and deemed competent)
Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment
Maintain complete work files and relevant documentation, showing detailed entries of work performed
Assist in training and supervision of others ensuring quality standards are maintained
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and identify opportunities for improvement in processes, working practices and team efficiency
Work with attention to detail in a Quality controlled manner
Prioritise own workload within overall Departmental and Company requirements
Perform duties of technicians in a manner to reduce client's downtime
Take on additional tasks apart from core responsibilities when assigned
Perform any other related duties as required by the Operations Manager
Other Requirements:
Utilise IT systems as appropriate
Be aware of, and adhere to company policies and procedures
Maintain positive working relationships with all internal departments and attend meetings if requested
Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety Regulations, Business Ethics and financial controls
Observe safety rules and procedures
Report unsafe conditions and practices and make safety suggestions
