ABCARE Disability Support is currently seeking a High Intensity Support Practitioner to join our team on a casual basis.
This is not an entry-level position – we are looking for a practitioner with proven experience in delivering complex and high-level care. If you are passionate about making a difference and thrive in a person-centred, professional environment, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for providing complex care and high intensity supports to individuals with a variety of needs, in line with NDIS High Intensity Support guidelines.
Working both in clients’ homes and out in the community, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care. ABCARE Disability Support do not provide SIL service – our service is personalised in home assistance along with community access.
Essential Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in complex/high-intensity disability support. Please address this in your application.
Strong understanding of NDIS frameworks and guidelines
Relevant qualifications in disability, nursing, or a related field
NDIS Worker Screening, Working With Children Check and recent police check (within the past 3 months)
Valid First Aid and CPR certification
Completion of appropriate NDIS training modules via the NDIS website
Australian Driver’s licence with your own registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
Certified Driving History via Service NSW (in the event you are transporting participants)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Very clear verbal and written English
Manual handling experience: supporting people who have limited mobility including hoisting.
Administering medications
Experience in providing intensive personal care duties
Available to work flexibly across a 24/7 rotating roster, including early morning starts and late-night finishes
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Have permanent rights with no restrictions to work in Australia.
