About the role

Avenir life midwifery is seeking a passionate Registered Midwife to join our team in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, QLD. As a casual Registered Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality maternity care to expectant mothers and newborns. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of families in our community. This is an opportunity for a graduate or registered midwife who is wanting a pathway to work towards endorsement and private practice. You will be responsible for continuity of care for women wanting hospital births under the support and guidance of our endorsed midwives.

What you'll be doing

Providing comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and their families wanting hospital births

Conducting regular health assessments, monitoring maternal and fetal wellbeing, and identifying any potential complications

Educating and supporting expectant mothers on various aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, patient-centered care

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and contributing to the continuous improvement of our midwifery practices

What we're looking for

Registered Midwife with a current AHPRA registration

Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar midwifery role

Strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of evidence-based midwifery practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and build trust with patients

Commitment to providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
