ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced project manager to join our management team working throughout the southeast & east of Melbourne, you will play an important role within the company managing crews completing projects such as, Footpath replacements, new footpath constructions, drainage projects and civil construction projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

· Estimating & Tendering

· Prepare accurate cost estimates and submit tenders for civil construction projects.

· Interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.

· Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical input.

· Project Planning & Delivery

· Lead the planning, scheduling, and delivery of civil projects from start to finish.

· Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and manage subcontractors.

· Ensure compliance with design, quality, safety, and environmental standards.

· Client & Stakeholder Management

· Maintain strong relationships with clients, councils, consultants, and other key stakeholders.

· Provide regular project updates and address any variations or issues promptly.

· Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and inspections.

· Financial & Risk Management

· Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.

· Track project costs and implement corrective actions where necessary.

· Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

· Team Leadership

· Lead site supervisors, laborers, and contractors.

· Foster a strong safety culture and ensure WHS compliance on all sites.

· Promote continuous improvement and team development.

ABOUT YOU

· Proven experience managing civil construction projects (5+ years)

· Strong knowledge of footpath construction, asphalt, and drainage systems

· Demonstrated ability to price and win tenders

· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

· Strong leadership and team management abilities

· Solid understanding of WHS, environmental, and quality management practices

· Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite

· Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (desirable)

· Current driver’s license and White Card (required)
