Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack steel products according to orders.
• Safely operate equipment and machinery relevant to steel packaging processes.
• Perform quality checks to ensure the integrity of steel products prior to dispatch.
• Organise and manage inventory in the warehouse, maintaining optimal space utilization.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or discrepancies in the order process.
  
  Qualifications
• Previous experience in a warehousing or pick-and-pack environment, preferably within the steel or manufacturing industry.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labour for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Basic computer skills are a plus.
  
  Day-to-Day
• Begin the day with a team meeting to discuss daily targets and safety protocols.
• Review order sheets and prepare to collect required steel items from the inventory.
• Conduct quality checks on items to ensure all products meet company standards before packing.
• Carefully package products to avoid damage during transportation.
• Label and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
• Work collaboratively with team members to load packed orders onto delivery vehicles.
• Participate in team discussions aimed at improving efficiency and safety measures within the warehouse.
