Your Role
As an Electrician in the Army Reserve, you’ll make a difference while putting your skills and qualifications to work in range of different environments. You’ll apply your trade skills on Army bases as well as out in the field on exercises and deployments around Australia and overseas. As a soldier in the Army, you’ll also perform military duties.

On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn at least $229/day tax-free.
Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments.
Eligibility:
For this role, you must:
Be at least 17 years of age when you enter the ADF
Have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics
Be an Australian citizen. If you are not an Australian Citizen you may still be eligible to join the ADF if you meet certain criteria, please visit the ADF Careers Eligibility Page for more details
Be reasonably fit and healthy. Keeping fit is a big part of joining the ADF. You’ll need to pass a physical fitness test before you join, but don’t worry, we'll give you tips to help you prepare
Be able to successfully obtain a security clearance
You must be a qualified Electrician, having completed an approved apprenticeship or approved traineeship at a recognised Australian institution, as well as the full-time employment requirement for that trade.
