About the role

Oakmont Homes' are seeking a full-time qualified carpenter under a subcontractor role. (mainly lock up and fix) to join our team in Balwyn, VIC 3103. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced carpenter to take on a varied and hands-on role that will be critical to the successful delivery of residential construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Carrying out internal and external carpentry work, including lock up and fix

Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and plans

Safely using a range of power tools and hand tools

Liaising with site managers and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks

Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with building regulations

Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

What we're looking for

Formal carpentry qualifications and several years of experience in residential construction

Strong practical skills and the ability to work from architectural plans and drawings

Knowledge of relevant building regulations and safety procedures

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Must have a licence with a range of tools to complete jobs

Must have a white card
