About the role

Somerville Electric Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Service Technician (Electrical) to join our Client Services team. This is a full-time position that will see you take on a hands-on role, overseeing and delivering the work of electrical installations, service and maintenance both reactive and planned and small projects.

What you'll be doing

This role will be primarily in the Client Services Division and will be driving a service vehicle handling multiple projects & installations a week

Undertaking works on various commercial and light industrial projects including coordination & delivery of the Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including lighting, power, lighting control systems and structured cabling systems

Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant electrical codes and regulations

Provide on-the-job training and mentoring of other team members and apprentices where required

Liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction & perfect delivery

Maintain accurate records of work completed, both labour and materials used

Assist with the planning and coordination of work schedules and resource allocation to deliver their projects

Rostered days off 36 hour week – with two RDO’s a Month

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Electrician, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the field

Electrical trade qualification – Cert III Electrotechnology

Current NSW Electrical Licence or Contractor Licence

White Card

Driver’s Licence

Open Cabling Registration (preferred but not essential)

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills,

Self driven, independent worker

Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve

Commitment to safety and a demonstrated understanding of relevant electrical regulations and codes

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
