Trades Assistant – Leading Aluminium Architectural Solutions| Somersby

Our client, a leading aluminium architectural solutions company based in Somersby, is currently seeking a hands-on Trades Assistant to join their team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physically demanding work, has mechanical aptitude, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with welding and fabrication tasks
• Basic machine operation and maintenance
• Use of power tools and hand tools
• Work with and around hazardous chemicals (training provided)
• General workshop and production support
• Cleaning and preparation of components
• Support tradespeople with daily operations

We’re Looking For:

• Mechanically minded individual with a “can-do” attitude
• Someone physically fit and willing to work in a dirty and demanding environment
• Previous experience with centrifugal or pneumatic pumps (advantageous, not essential)
• Experience working with hazardous chemicals (preferred but not essential)
• Strong understanding of basic maintenance procedures
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:

• Full working rights in Australia
• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• Forklift ticket (desirable)
• Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test

Pay rate: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time hours
