Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) are eager to recruit a Senior Exercise Physiologist to join our dedicated team at our brand-new Modbury Mental Health Rehab Unit, to help us deliver exceptional care to our community.
About the Role:
The Modbury Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (MMHRU) offers contemporary, evidence based, and high-quality rehabilitation services. As a part of the multidisciplinary team you will play a key role in delivering person- centred, trauma-informed care within a collaborative environment. You will deliver rehabilitation services that are compassionate, solution focused, promoting skill development, social inclusion, and supporting consumers to achieve their recovery goals. You will work in close connection with both Wondakka (Community Rehabilitation Center) and The Gully services, supporting mental health rehabilitation service innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and co-design. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of quality Exercise Physiology services for consumers of the Modbury Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit and participate as a member of the rehabilitation team within the broader Mental Health Rehabilitation Services. Optimal care and outcomes are ensured by providing a comprehensive range of exercise physiology services to consumers receiving inpatient rehabilitation. You will work in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team, to effectively plan and provide therapeutic interventions based on consumer goals. This may involve consultation and liaison with the team, other professional disciplines and external organisations. You will be accountable for your practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. You will assists in the provision and management of a service particularly in the areas of: • Supporting exercise physiology staff, students and relevant Allied Health Assistants. • Improving exercise physiology, policy, procedures, guidelines and practices • Facilitating the development and application of relevant research
