We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated Allied Health professionals join us on this exciting journey.

This is a recruitment pool for Permanent Full Time / Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time / Part Time and Casual appointments with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.

Peel Health Campus is a general hospital located in the City of Mandurah, 75 km south of Perth on the doorstep of the south-west, known for its stunning beaches, internationally significant wetlands, and some of Australia’s most spectacular waterways for boating, fishing and wildlife. It originally opened in 1988 as the 32-bed Mandurah District Hospital, and now operates with 206 licenced beds, bays and treatment areas.

SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

Currently we are seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team. The successful applicant/s will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing Speech Pathology services to patients requiring assessment, diagnosis and management of communication and swallowing disorders. Advises and trains staff in relation to complex disorders and policy and. Plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care. Supervises Speech Pathology staff and support staff in the unit / clinical area, coordinates duties and manages performance. Practices as a Senior Speech Pathologist and ensures practice is in accordance to the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Ethics, the Speech Pathology Australia Scope of Practice and SMHS policies and guidelines.

  • How does your previous experience and skills equip you to coordinate patient care and communicate with members of the Multi-disciplinary Team within the hospital environment?
  • How do you keep informed about developments and advancements in your clinical specialty. What actions and steps at a senior level do you take to then implement your learnings in the delivery of services to the organisation and coordinate with the team?
