About the role

This is a full-time Registered Nurse role based in Canberra ACT 2600. What you'll be doing

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for individuals and groups.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, observing protocols and reporting adverse reactions.

Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical documentation.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and advocate for patient needs.

Educate patients, families, and carers on health management.

Contribute to continuous quality improvement, risk management, and infection control initiatives.

Participate in shift handovers, team meetings, and workplace health and safety activities.

Mentor students and less experienced staff as required.

Report hazards and incidents and participate in risk mitigation.

Practice safe manual handling, infection control, and use of PPE.

Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.

Participate in professional development activities to maintain competence and registration.

Adhere to organisational values and mission.

What we're looking for

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the APHRA.

Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a community healthcare setting.

Strong assessment, clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with patients, families and the broader healthcare team.

Commitment to providing compassionate, person-centred care.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.

Proficient in using digital healthcare technologies and patient management systems.
