Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Pharmacist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. As a Pharmacist , you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, while also providing expert advice and support to our patients and wider Pharmacy Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Thursday 8.30am-6.30pm, Friday 8.30am-6.30pm, Saturday 9.00am-3.00pm. Also Wednesday 8.30am-6.30pm available but can be discussed with suitable candidate. (potential for 36 hours per week)

Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.

Provide professional advice and guidance on the use of medicines and general health and lifestyle matters.

Counsel patients on the proper use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.

Administer vaccinations and actively participate in the delivery of professional pharmacy services.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.

Oversee the management and operations of the pharmacy, including inventory control and staff supervision.

Ensure compliance with all pharmacy and health regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

AHPRA Registered Pharmacist

Approved Pharmacist Immuniser qualification preferred

Proven experience as a Pharmacist in a community or hospital setting.

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, and therapeutic protocols.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Proficiency in pharmacy software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Vaccination (preferably), Dose Administration Aids

Close proximity to Northern Beaches Hospital therefore interest in wound care, home health care, compression stocks, diabetes, weight management would be beneficial.
