The role

A full-time position is available for a skilled and creative Cook with a passion for quality cuisine to join our vibrant team.

As part of your duties & responsibilities, you will:

1. Support the chef in the daily running of the kitchen and undertake responsibilities in their absence

2. Review the menu periodically and propose new dishes in line with seasonal produce

3. Calculating costs involved in new dishes and price changes in the existing menu

4. Ensure junior staff use proper cooking techniques, portioning, and plating

5. Monitor hygiene and OH&S compliance within the kitchen

6. Check freshness of ingredients and ensure FIFO principles are followed

The applicant

You must love what you do and also:

7. Hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery

8. Have at least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience

9. Be able to produce high-quality dishes under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen

10. Have solid knowledge of sanitation and OH&S standards

11. Be flexible to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
