About the role

Augellos Balwyn are seeking an experienced Chef to join their team in Balwyn, Victoria. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a thriving restaurant environment.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking high-quality meals to the restaurant's exacting standards
• Collaborating with the head chef to develop and refine the menu
• Ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation
• Maintaining strict hygiene and safety protocols
• Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff
• Ordering and managing inventory of ingredients and supplies

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant or catering environment
• Formal culinary training or qualifications
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for creating innovative, delicious dishes
• Commitment to upholding high food safety and hygiene standards
