Ideally you will have a Building Surveying background however those with a degree in Construction Management, Project Managers, Builders, Architects and similar industry professionals who look to forge a career in the building and construction industry are encouraged to apply.

The scope of the position will involve:

• Assist in the preparation of approval applications to relevant authorities
• Assist in the preparation of certified building permit and occupancy permit applications
• Administering projects from fee proposal through to certification/completion
• Undertake BCA assessments and reporting of project building designs
• Collaborate with other building design professionals with a focus on regulatory compliance
• Liaise with clients, councils and permit authorities
• Carry out building compliance inspections on site
• Maintain and develop client relationships

To be considered you will ideally possess:

• Bachelor of Building Surveying and Certification OR,
• Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management or equivalent
• Ideally 2+ years’ experience working as a qualified Building Surveyor
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Building Code of Australia associated standards
• Computer literacy and excellent report writing skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Current Class C drivers’ licence.
