ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role within the firm's Business Advisory division, working closely with partners and senior leaders. This role offers a blend of compliance, financial reporting, and advisory work, making it an excellent step for someone looking for both technical growth and client-facing exposure.

You'll also have the chance to mentor junior accountants, contribute to client meetings, and support the delivery of high-quality outcomes across the portfolio.

DUTIES

Prepare financial statements and management reports in line with accounting standards

Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals

Provide advice across a range of tax matters including GST, FBT, and CGT

Deliver business advisory support to a broad client base

Assist in client meetings and presentations alongside senior leaders

Mentor and support junior team members

Research and resolve complex accounting matters, providing recommendations

Produce clear, accurate workpapers and maintain strong documentation standards

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline

Progress towards CA or CPA qualification (completed preferred)

3+ years' experience in public practice accounting (Big 4, mid-tier, or boutique firm)

Strong technical knowledge across tax and accounting standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment

Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills
