Duty Supervisor – Gawler Aquatic Centre (multiple contract positions available)
Part Time 7 Month Contract (minimum hours contracts)
Salary $38.55 to $41.69 per hour + 11.5% superannuation + Income Protection
About Us
Established in 1839, the Town of Gawler is one of South Australia’s most significant historic towns, in one of the state’s fastest growing regions.
The Gawler Aquatic Centre is a well-loved community facility located adjacent to the North Para River and surrounded by River Red Gums and spacious lawns. The Centre comprises of three swimming pools, a 50 metre seven lane pool and two smaller pools – a Learn to Swim pool and Toddlers pool. All three pools are heated, with the 50 metre pool heated to 27 degrees and the two smaller pools heated to 32 degrees.
The Gawler Aquatic Centre provides a range of activities including lap swimming, learn to swim and fitness programs and is home to the Gawler Amateur Swimming Club.
About You
The Town of Gawler is seeking to employ multiple Duty Supervisors to provide site supervision, program delivery and team management at the Gawler Aquatic Centre. To thrive in the role, you will be able to manage multiple priorities, coordinate teams in a high patronage aquatic facility and build and maintain positive relationships with all people you meet.

What’s on Offer
Opportunity – multiple Part time 7 Month Contract positions (approx. early October to mid April) – negotiated minimum hours contracts to cover operations

Salary - Competitive Salary - Level 2, $38.55 to $41.69 per hour

To be successful in securing a position, you will hold the below or be willing to obtain prior to commencement:
Current Provide First Aid and CPR
Current Pool Lifeguard Certification
Department of Human Services Working with Children Check
Completion of ‘Safe Environment for children and young people - through their eyes’ training
Desirable qualifications:
AUSTSWIM Swimming and Water Safety Certificate (or equivalent)
Current Pool Plant Operators Certificate
Formal qualifications in Sports Administration, Recreation Management or similar discipline
Other Essential skills include:
Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and performing lifeguard duties
Knowledge of pool plant and equipment
Knowledge of aquatic programs and services
Knowledge of human resource management principles and processes
Knowledge of the systems, processes and procedures used within an aquatic facility
