Tradewind is working in partnership with a leading independent Christian school in Sydney's northwest to recruit a passionate and forward-thinking Gifted and Talented Teacher for a newly created Year 6 class. This is a full-time, permanent position starting at the beginning of 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to guide and challenge academically advanced students in a supportive and values-driven school environment. You'll be instrumental in delivering enriched learning experiences that extend beyond the standard curriculum, allowing high-ability students to engage deeply and progress confidently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach a specialised Year 6 class for high-achieving students, focusing on advanced literacy and numeracy skills
• Deliver NESA-aligned curriculum at a faster pace and greater depth
• Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning
• Tailor teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate with staff to support holistic student development
• Actively participate in the school's co-curricular, wellbeing and community programs

About You:

• Qualified primary teacher with experience or qualifications in gifted education
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate curriculum for high-ability or gifted learners
• Confident in building strong relationships with students and families
• Well-organised with effective communication and classroom management skills
• Enthusiastic about working in a faith-based educational setting

What You'll Need:

• NESA accreditation
• Recognised teaching qualification (minimum 4-year degree or 75% completed)
• Valid Working With Children Check
• Willingness to contribute to the Christian ethos of the school
