We have opportunities both in our Sunshine Coast workshop and for FIFO field roles (2:2 roster). Whether you're based locally or looking for an exciting new challenge with travel, this role offers strong growth potential and hands-on industry exposure.

What You’ll Be Doing

Mechanical Maintenance & Servicing

Carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on light vehicles, utes, trucks (up to 12-tonne), trailers, and compressors.

Assist with drill rig rebuilds and mobile plant repairs under the guidance of our experienced fitters.

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, fault finding, and component replacement.

Support Mobile Plant Development

Learn and support maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and 24V electrical systems on mobile rigs and support vehicles.

Troubleshoot and attend equipment breakdowns in the field (if FIFO).

Workshop & Inventory

Maintain accurate service records.

Assist in parts ordering and stock control for upcoming planned maintenance.

About You

You’re a skilled mechanic with experience in light vehicles, light/medium trucks, or similar, and you're ready to expand your capabilities into larger and more complex equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Heavy Road Transport, or equivalent

3+ years’ mechanical experience

Valid driver’s licence (manual)

White Card (Construction Induction)

Solid understanding of vehicle servicing, brake systems, cooling systems, and fault diagnostics

A positive, team-oriented attitude

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience with Isuzu, Hino, or similar medium-duty trucks

Exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel systems

HR or MR licence

Forklift, EWP, or other machinery tickets

Experience with compressor systems or trailer setups
