About the role

HIT Plumbing are currently seeking to engage either a sub contractor for 40 + hours a week or a full time employee to join our growing team.

Our company is based on the Northern Gold Coast and the majority of our work is based between the Gold Coast and South Brisbane.

We are open to providing flexibility for a sub-contractor who is kitted up with their own vehicle and tools of the trade or alternatively we can provide a work vehicle for anyone who would like to be employed full time.

The subcontractor role also comes with super, travel allowances and overtime rates as well as a higher rate of pay.

HIT Plumbing are primarily engaged to carry out maintenance plumbing to shopping centres, commercial and body corporate sites with only a small amount of real estate and residential work.

Ideally the applicant will be familiar and comfortable with roofing works as well as general maintenance plumbing.

What you'll be doing

• Respond promptly to service calls and identify and resolve a variety of plumbing problems
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as unblocking drains, repairing taps, and maintaining water systems
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures and equipment, including toilets, sinks, water heaters, and pipes
• Diagnose and repair leaks and other plumbing issues
• Comply with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients

What we're looking for

• Fully qualified and licensed plumber with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of issues
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality workmanship
• Current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
• A gas license and backflow or TMV endorsements will be highly regarded but not essential
• Familiarity with ServiceM8 and or similar job management software would be hugely advantageous
