The Role
A leading manufacturer of materials handling equipment for the mining sector is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their team. This role focuses primarily on electrical maintenance for workshop machinery and the facility. However, when there’s no electrical work to be done, the successful candidate will need to support the mechanical team with other maintenance tasks, ensuring smooth operations across all areas.

Key Responsibilities

Perform regular maintenance and repairs on workshop equipment and facility systems

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults across machinery and the facility

Maintain electrical systems, lighting, and HVAC within the facility

Assist the mechanical team with various tasks when no electrical work is required

Contribute to preventative maintenance programs to reduce unscheduled downtime

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

About the Candidate

WA-licensed electrician with experience in workshop and facility maintenance

Comfortable with electrical and mechanical tasks, and willing to step in and assist with mechanical work when needed

Experience with CNC machines and other heavy equipment will be highly advantageous

Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Able to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team

Good communication and organisational skills

10 hours per day Mon - Fri available (possibly Saturdays too)

Ongoing position - Temp to Perm opportunity
