About the role

The Warehouse Assistant will support SunStak in accelerating our mission of Empowering Energy Independence.

With a strong focus on customer outcomes, the Warehouse Assistant will assist SunStak's operations team with general warehousing duties, including receiving goods, picking, and packing.

You'll join a team of dedicated and talented people working toward a shared goal and must bring the willingness and adaptability to support multiple business functions as needed.

This role requires genuine enthusiasm for the renewables industry, a thirst for learning and problem solving, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will be based in Canberra or the surrounding region, with daily attendance required at the Hume warehouse.

Primary duties

General warehousing duties including use of an electric forklift and manual pallet jack

Accurate record keeping and paperwork for incoming and outgoing goods

Engaging with customers and installers as needed

Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment

Using SunStak's CRM and other relevant software

Supporting the Managing Director and broader team as needed, including training and inducting new staff as we grow

You must have:

Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders

A demonstrated interest in renewable energy

Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

Excellent customer service skills

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

A self-driven attitude and ability to work in dynamic, semi-structured environments

Valid Australian driver's licence

A current forklift licence

Right to work in Australia

You may also have:

A first aid certificate

Previous warehousing or industry experience

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
