About the role

JEC Joinery is seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Cabinet Maker to join our team in Burpengary, Queensland. This full-time role is crucial in supporting the design and construction of high-quality custom cabinetry and furniture for our diverse range of residential and commercial clients.

What you'll be doing

Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications to produce custom cabinetry

Operate a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools to shape, assemble and finish cabinetry

Ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety

Maintain a clean, organized and efficient workshop environment

Provide mentorship and training to junior cabinet makers and apprentices

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Cabinet Making or a related trade

Minimum 3 years experience as a qualified Cabinet Maker

Excellent knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials and equipment

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work from technical plans and drawings

Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find solutions

Strong time management and organizational skills

Effective communication and teamwork skills
