Due to our expanding customer base, we are keen to add to our support worker team. We are looking for Disability Support Workers who will play a pivotal role in delivering our services and exceeding our customers' expectations.
The Role
Available roles involve supporting individuals from our diverse customer group who have a variety of support needs, including cognitive, physical, neurological, and psychosocial.
We are currently seeking individuals that are willing to learn and support customers that may include some of the following: Training will be provided to successful candidate.
Personal care including showering and incontinence support
P.E.G Feeding
Seizure Management
Behaviours of concern.
No two days are the same, but regular activities may include:
Supporting customers with outings, social activities and other daily routines.
Providing companionship and support to assist customers to develop their existing skills, abilities and confidence.
Assisting with domestic tasks and chores such as shopping, menu planning, cooking and/or providing personal care
Writing up notes at the end of each shift
Attending the office for a team meeting or training
Hours
Working hours are very flexible, with a variety of minimum hours on offer. We provide services 24/7 and have both short and long shifts during the day, afternoon, night (including sleepover), and weekends.
Pay and Entitlements
All pay and entitlements will be as per the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award, Social and Community stream.
Minimum hourly rates start at: $43.23 ($34.58 base rate + 25% casual loading)
Final base pay rate subject to negotiation with successful applicants based on skills and experience.

Skills and Experience
Essential
While we are primarily looking for experienced support workers, if you are new to or interested in joining the sector, we will still consider your application
Excellent communication skills and understanding of people with diverse needs and preferences
Reliable, with good team skills along with the ability to work independently
A person-centred approach where you ensure the customer is involved in decisions about their support needs
High degree of honesty and integrity and ability to maintain professional boundaries, privacy, and confidentiality requirements
Smartphone and the ability to use basic software on a mobile application
You will need to currently hold or be willing to obtain prior to commencement:
National Police Check (less than 3 months old)
NDIS Worker Screening
Working with Children check
Current First Aid and CPR
Current driver’s licence, with access to a registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
NDIS Worker Orientation module
