About the role:

We’re on the lookout for Auto Electricians of all skill levels to join our Kalgoorlie Workshop team. Whether you’ve just wrapped up your apprenticeship, or you’re a seasoned expert, we’ve got a spot for you.

In this role, you’ll be based in the SMS workshop in Kalgoorlie, working on SMS-owned heavy mining equipment including trucks, loaders, and excavators. You'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems—carrying out tasks such as fault finding, wiring repairs, lighting and battery replacements, and system diagnostics, all while ensuring strict safety standards are met.

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrable experience working mobile equipment maintenance (MEM)
• Experience on Caterpillar, Hitachi and Komatsu Mining Equipment
• Previous experience working on a mine site with diagnosing and repairing mining equipment
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate - Automotive Electrician
• Valid Manual C Class Driver's Licence
