A Versatile workshop assistant with a fork licence and drivers licence.

In these full-time roles based in Dandenong South, VIC, you will use your expertise to support the company's operations and drive continued success.

What you'll be doing - CNC Lathe & Mill Tradesperson

Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate machining

Develop work methods

Create Fusion or MasterCam CAM files

Set up and calibrate CNC machines for optimum performance

Operate CNC lathes and mills to produce many and varied high-quality parts and components to specification.

Accurately measure parts to meet tolerance requirements

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment

What you'll be doing as a Fabricator/Fitter

Read and interpret engineering drawings

Fabricating components, machines and parts

Some onsite fitting at our customers sites during shutdowns and installations, both locally and occasionally interstate.

Helping train our 3rd year apprentice.

Working with the Workshop manager on work methods and work flow.

What you'll be doing as the Workshop Assistant.

you're the arms and legs of the Workshop manager to keep the work flowing smoothly

Loading and unloading, trucks, & utes

Checking, counting, and packing our parts ready for delivery

Delivery driving to our customers and from our suppliers.

Loading and unloading CNC machines

Keeping our worksite in a clean and safe manor

Adhere to all health, safety and quality standards

Maintain detailed records of all work completed

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify process improvements

What we're looking for

CNC Lathe & Mill Tradesperson

Trade qualifications in Fitting and Turning or Machining

Extensive experience operating CNC lathes and mills in a jobbing or production environment

Experience with FANUC, Siemens and/or Heidenhein controllers

Strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Fabricator/Fitter

MIG & TIG Skills

Ability to design welding jigs and make high quality parts

Strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Strong Problem solving techniques and be innovative

Workshop Assistant

a Can do attitude who has a happy disposition and is keen to learn,

this job typically evolves in to an apprenticeship for the right applicant
