UNBEATABLE COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
*Base Salary: $94,082 – $107,133 p.a.
*Initial Training Salary: $72,791 p.a. (12 weeks of paid local training)
*12% Superannuation Contributions
*Regular Annual Salary Increases
ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS:
Regional Incentive Allowances of up to $380 per fortnight
District Allowance minimum of $90 per fortnight
EGRP Retention Payment of $11,960 every 3 years

You will be supported on the job by the experienced staff and management at Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison, as part of the team working to keep the WA community safe.
As a Prison Officer
You will interact with minimum to maximum security prisoners on a 24/7 roster system. Prison Officers are responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient operation of prisons and effective management of prisoners. You can make a real difference by modelling positive behaviours and motivating prisoners to gain skills and knowledge to re-enter the community, to reduce the risk of re-offending.
We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate
Great communication skills to build positive relationships with a diverse prisoner population.
A practical and common-sense approach to solving problems and being able to adapt to challenging situations.
Excellent team working skills with colleagues and prisoners to achieve personal and professional goals.
An awareness and understanding of Aboriginal people and their culture.
Eligibility
You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold Australian permanent residency.
You also need to hold an unrestricted Australian driver’s licence (minimum C or C-A).
