As a special work of the St Vincent de Paul Society, Vincent Industries provides supported employment opportunities for people living with a disability. Additionally, Vincent Industries is Northern Tasmania’s largest fashion recycling facility, based in Wynyard, North West Tasmania.

St Vincent de Paul Society is proudly participating in Tasmania’s Container Refund Scheme, Recycle Rewards. Vincent Industries has a reverse vending machine located onsite, providing a solution for community members to recycle drink containers, offering rewards or the option to donate to a charity.

About the role

The Warehouse Attendant will primarily be responsible for the opening, closing, cleaning and operations of the reverse vending machine. In addition, the Warehouse Attendant will complete weekly cleaning tasks of the machine bins and greater Vincent Industries facility.

This role is part-time, working 9:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. every Saturday.

Essential Requirements

Experience in cleaning or warehouse environments.

Proven ability to self-motivate and work unsupervised.

Exceptional communication skills both written and oral, ensuring compassion and alignment with our values with every interaction.

Ability to learn warehouse operations and comfortably work in this environment.

Contemporary and collaborative approach to work, with a solutions-focused mindset.

Strong commitment to confidentiality and an understanding of privacy principles.

Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities, thinking ahead and identifying potential issues, while adopting a flexible approach as required.

Ability to build, foster and manage relationships with key stakeholders and other like-minded organisations.

The successful applicant must hold a current compliant National Police Check, along with a valid Working with Vulnerable People Card (NDIS Endorsed) or the ability to obtain.
