About the opportunity
Mercy Palliative Care is a fully accredited training site with the RACP. Based in Melbourne's western region, our service offers a truly holistic, multidisciplinary approach to palliative care-supporting individuals of all ages with life-limiting illnesses. We deliver compassionate care in the home, with complex symptom management provided at our dedicated inpatient unit at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
Currently, we support over 500 patients across the region, offering not only medical care, but also psychological and spiritual support as part of our commitment to whole-person care.
As a recognised training rotation with the college, this placement also provides a valuable opportunity for trainees to engage in quality improvement or research projects, supported by an experienced team. Trainees are encouraged to explore areas of interest and contribute meaningfully to service development and the evidence base of palliative care.
