Wilson Diesel Services is a proudly family-owned and operated business, delivering reliable mobile and workshop-based mechanical services across the Barkly region. We’re growing and on the lookout for a capable and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our mine site-based team at an NT mine.

About the Role
This is a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO position, working Wednesday to Wednesday, FIFO from Darwin, Alice Springs or Cairns. You'll be part of a small, skilled crew providing maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy mining and earthmoving equipment.

This role is ideal for someone who values autonomy in their work, enjoys back-to-back support with other experienced mechanics, and takes pride in keeping machines running smoothly and efficiently, this is a long term role.

Duties Include:

Routine maintenance, servicing and inspections

Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs

Reporting and record-keeping to meet site standards

Working safely and efficiently under minimal supervision

Contributing to a positive, productive team culture

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 5 years post trade mining

Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)

Experience with mining or earthmoving equipment

Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical knowledge

A proactive, self-driven attitude

HR licence (desirable)

Current drivers licence

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and site induction
