About the role (What you’ll be doing)

We like to do things a bit different... we are a telehealth company taking an alternate approach to the traditional pharmacy - we specialise in the online pharmacy space. With consumer habits changing and high demand for digital health services, we have connected patients to doctors and pharmacists with medication delivered from our pharmacy to patients Australia-wide. Our partner pharmacy specialises in the delivery of niche pharmacy services. They are a dynamic team that takes an alternative approach to traditional pharmacy.

We’re looking for a full-time Dispensary Technician to join our team in Geebung (Queensland), working Monday to Friday during business hours (between 8 AM and 5 PM).

Duties include:

Dispensary Operations:

Batch and sort orders and scripts.

Accurately and promptly dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Complete daily reporting tasks.

Apply critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify issues, escalating to the Site Manager and/or Head Pharmacist when necessary.

Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and best practices.

2. Communication:

Communicate with the team at the pharmacy when scripts are ready to print and fulfil.

Communicate any issues and escalations to the Site Manager and/or Head Pharmacist.

Communicate with the Patient Experience team to address patient enquiries and concerns promptly.

Action communication from the Patient Experience team and patients through our standard means of communiction.

Use the excel communication sheet for cancellation and invoice requests.

3. Administration:

Action patient invoice requests.

Manage prescription records via the dispensary program.

Manage held orders via pharmacy procedures.

End of day account charging on the register.

Process returns and dispose of returned medication per safe disposal methods.

4. General Ops:

Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as reasonably directed by the Head Pharmacist and/or Site Manager.
