Are you a versatile, hands-on professional with welding skills and mechanical know-how? Under Road Boring WA is seeking a reliable Yard Hand - All Rounder to join our dynamic team in directional drilling and civil works. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, supporting our crews across Perth with essential yard and onsite tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring we always have enough stock on hand through effective inventory management.

- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing basic welding and fabrication for repairs and maintenance.

- Driving to job sites all over Perth to deliver parts if required.

- Basic mechanical repairs and troubleshooting of diesel motors, small engines, and hydraulic hosing.

- Picking up materials from suppliers to keep operations running smoothly.

- Organising job packs for crews, including tools, parts, and documentation.

- Conducting small mechanical maintenance onsite as needed.

- Filling in for crews when short-staffed, providing support on directional drilling or civil works tasks.

- Opening and closing the yard daily.

- Keeping servicing records.

- Booking in trucks for services with our mechanic.

- Reporting to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.

Requirements:

- HR – B truck License (ESSENTIAL).

- Drivers license manual C Class (ESSENTIAL).

- Welding experience (ESSENTIAL).

- Excavator license (desirable but not essential).

- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening.

- Mechanical understanding and basic knowledge of diesel motors, small engines, and hydraulic hosing.

- Experience with directional drilling, plumbing, poly welding, fusion welding, or civil works will be looked upon favourably.

- Basic use of Microsoft Excel, iPad, and computers.

This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, flat 45 hr week.
