Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist who loves working with families and is focused on delivering high quality, culturally safe and inclusive services?
If so, an exciting opportunity exists to join the Child Development Service (CDS). Successful applicants will provide assessment, referral and information services to families and community for children 0-6 years with, or at risk of developmental delays. You will also provide occupational therapy early intervention programs to children up to 3 years of age.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical early intervention services within a community based, highly skilled and dedicated, multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals. Child Development Service has a temporary vacancy for a Health Professional Level 3 Occupational Therapist. Full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: This position requires:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- A minimum of three years recent practice experience working with children and their carers and families as an Occupational Therapist
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current Australian Driver’s license Class C is essential
As this role is likely to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, cultural awareness, and capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency. This position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis. Where part-time hours apply, the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.
A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
