North Eastern Hotel is seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our dynamic team at our hotel located in Wangaratta, Victoria. As a full-time Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our guests, contributing to the ongoing success of our renowned restaurant and bar offerings.

What you'll be doing

Preparing high-quality, traditional style pub dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients

Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards

Supervising and training kitchen staff to maintain consistent quality and efficiency

Actively participating in the planning and execution of special events and functions

Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment

What we're looking for

Formal culinary qualification or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality setting (Preferred)

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles and plating

Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests

Strong team player with the ability to mentor and develop kitchen staff
