Your new opportunity:
This is your chance to contribute to the delivery of Queensland's first Office of Social Impact (OSI), driving the Queensland Government's social impact agenda. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee the design and establishment of the $20 million per annum Social Entrepreneurs Fund and contribute to the development and delivery of a roadmap for social enterprise and impact investing.
In this varied and fast-paced role, you will work closely with stakeholders across government, philanthropic organisations, and the social impact sector to achieve meaningful and measurable outcomes for marginalised Queenslanders.
We are seeking a highly-organised generalist with a proven track record in delivering multifaceted public policy programs or projects. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about creating positive social change, this is the role for you.
In this role, you will:
• Support the Executive Director to lead and manage OSI's strategy and outcomes, ensuring the successful development and delivery of a roadmap for social enterprise and impact investing.
• Help oversee OSI's work program, including managing timelines, program expenditure, risk, probity, reporting, and progress against outcomes.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with government and nongovernment stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive shared impact.
• Provide high-level advice and support, including oral and written briefings for ministerial offices.
What experience you will bring:
To excel in this role, you will demonstrate:
• Proven ability to lead teams and/or multifaceted projects under pressure while maintaining team cohesion, probity, and delivering results.
• Experience managing complex and time-sensitive workstreams or programs during periods of change and uncertainty.
• Strong problem-solving skills, innovation, and the ability to provide strategic, practical, and solutions-oriented advice.
• Exceptional relationship management skills, with a focus on trust, collaboration, and political acumen.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications or experience in social policy, investment strategy or impact measurement will be highly regarded.
