PORT PIRIE REGIONAL HEALTH SERVICE
Port Pirie Regional Health Service is a 52-bed acute facility inclusive of Emergency, Peri-operative, Renal Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Birthing, Outpatient Services, Acute Medical and Surgical Services with a co-located Residential Aged Care Facility - Hammill House.
With over 15,000 presentations through ED each year along with surgical and direct admissions of patients across the lifespan, the service is supported by onsite Medical team, SA Pharmacy, SA Pathology, SA Dental Service and SA Medical imaging.

Port Pirie Regional Health Service – Acute Medical /Palliative Care Unit (Ward A) – Registered Nurses
Port Pirie Acute Medical/Palliative Care Unit (Ward A) is a dynamic service which provides comprehensive, person-centred care for patients across the lifespan.
The department is focussed on timely comprehensive assessment, treatment, and medical care for patients, specialising in managing acute medical conditions of varying acuity including both paediatric patients, mental health presentations and palliative care.
Working within Port Pirie Acute Medical/Palliative Care Unit (Ward A) you will be encouraged and supported to further develop specialist skills in areas such as:
- Cardiac monitoring/telemetry
- Advance Life Support and part of MER Team
- Palliative and End of Life Care
- Mental Health Management

- Registered Nurse: Permanent P/T, 1.31 FTE (Various positions)
- Registered Nurse: Temporary P/T, 0.53 FTE (20 hours per week until 20/07/2026)
- Enrolled Nurse: Permanent P/T, 1.3 FTE (Various positions)
- Enrolled Nurse: Temporary P/T, 0.32 FTE (12 hours per week until 17/07/2026)
Port Pirie Regional Health Service – Renal Dialysis Unit – Registered Nurses
The Port Pirie Dialysis Unit operates as an outreach unit of the Central Northern Adelaide Renal and Transplantation Service.
As a satellite facility, the unit provides comprehensive haemodialysis services to patients in the Port Pirie and Mid North region. The 4-chair unit runs two sessions per day, six days a week (Monday to Saturday), ensuring accessible and high-quality haemodialysis services for the community.
