Contempo Cabinets is a growing, Perth-based business specializing in high-end, handcrafted cabinetry for residential and commercial projects. Established in 2015, we take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship without the use of CNC machines. Our projects range from luxury home renovations to commercial fit-outs for notable clients like Miss Chows, Uber, Hall & Prior, Boatshed Markets, and Barrett’s Bakery.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cabinet Maker & Installer to join our small, dedicated team in Wangara. Responsibilities:
Manufacture and assemble high-quality, custom cabinetry using traditional woodworking techniques.
Conduct site measures and prepare accurate cutting lists.
Install cabinetry and joinery on-site for residential and commercial projects.
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
Ensure quality control through precise measurements and finishing.
Work closely with clients, designers, and team members.
Assist with project management and site preparation, including cabinetry removal.
Load, unload, and check off materials and goods.
Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures.
Solve problems efficiently and adapt to challenges on-site and in the workshop.
Undertake additional duties as directed by the Director.
Be available for occasional after-hours or weekend work when required.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Cabinet Maker with proven experience in cabinet making and installation.
Minimum 2 years of experience (3+ years preferred for installation & site management).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and finishes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
Valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable transport (manual preferred).
Must have own tools.
White Card (or willingness to obtain).
Forklift license (advantageous but not essential).
Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident (skilled visa applicants may be considered).
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours when required.

This position is full time based in Wangara, offering 38 hours per week, with overtime as needed. A trial day and 6-month probationary period will apply. As mentioned above - part-time and contract work also being considered.
