Job description:

  • Parramatta and Sydney CBD
  • Temporary 12 months with opportunity for extension - Fulltime (35 HPW)
  • Clerk Grade 11/12, base salary ($149,739 - $173,174), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

The role supports the Director, Digital Priorities - Courts and Tribunals, in overseeing the successful delivery of major digital programs and projects. This includes implementing new digital systems and enhancing existing ones. Additionally, the role is responsible for the financial management of these programs and projects, ensuring they align with and achieve the strategic objectives of the Branch and the Department.

What you'll do

As part of the Digital Priorities team, you will manage varied program and project finance related work across the broader group with competing timeframes including a high volume of ad hoc requests for information/analysis.

You will also ….

  • Lead financial management of strategic digital programs to support Department and Government priorities.
  • Advise on financial risks and issues, including cross-portfolio and intergovernmental matters.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess project feasibility and returns (IRR, NPV, payback).
  • Oversee due diligence, risk assessments, and financial close to ensure informed decision-making and benefit realization.
  • Monitor budgets, cash flow, and performance metrics to support financial discipline and timely corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on forecasts and reporting.
  • Liaise with the Business Partner Office for funding and Treasury reporting to ensure alignment and accuracy.

  • Risk & Benefit Management: Conduct financial risk assessments and ensure delivery of projected benefits.
  • Reporting & Governance: Deliver accurate financial reports and ensure compliance with funding and Treasury requirements.
