Wagga Wagga City Council is currently seeking an experienced individual to provide efficient and effective revenue services for Council.

What we will offer you:

  • Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week).
  • Commencing salary at $2,793.68 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,144.74 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

Your new role:

This position is responsible for providing efficient and effective revenue services including Accounts Receivable, Daily Bank Reconciliation, Quarterly Non-Residential Sewer Billing, Rates levies, assisting with Land Valuation reconciliations and ongoing Debt Recovery services for Council.

Duties of this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Raise and distribute invoices to the various customers Council has across its many functions;
  • Maintain and reconcile Council's Accounts Receivable ledger;
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers in financial arrears to Council; and
  • Monitor and recover outstanding amounts due to Council, including negotiating payment arrangements and overseeing referrals for external collection.

What you will need to succeed:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Qualifications relevant to the role in Accounts or Business Administration (e.g. Certificate IV in Business Administration or Financial Services) or demonstrated experience in the relevant field such as working in an accounts receivable, debt management/collection, and/or customer account management;
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages with an emphasis on advanced Excel usage; and
  • Previous experience with Technology One software is highly desirable.
