UPTOWN (Brisbane) Store Manager & Lead Barista – Coffee, Milk Tea & Bakery Excellence

Are you a hands-on leader with expert barista skills, a love for quality milk teas, and a flair for bakery operations? We're looking for a passionate Store Manager who not only runs the show, but leads from the front behind the coffee machine, milk tea station, and pastry counter.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment and wants to take ownership of a high-performing team and store. As the main face of the shop, you’ll deliver exceptional beverages and food while managing daily operations, driving team success, and delivering on business goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

Be the lead barista and milk tea expert—crafting premium drinks with consistency and care

Oversee and guide bakery operations, including ready-to-serve items and scratch baking (highly desirable)

Train, lead, and motivate a high-energy team to deliver exceptional service

Manage rosters, staff performance, and store compliance

Drive sales through product quality, upselling, and customer engagement

Handle stock ordering, inventory management, and supplier coordination

Conduct staff training on new drinks, products, and policies

Foster a supportive, communicative, and results-driven team culture

Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health standards

What You Bring to the Table

2–3 years in a management or supervisory role (hospitality or café setting)

1–2 years of experience as a skilled barista, with expertise in milk tea preparation

Strong experience in a bakery setting – scratch baking highly desirable!!

Proven leadership in training and team development

Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation, speed, and consistency

Great communicator with a positive, hands-on approach

Experience in inventory, cost control, and ordering

Excellent knowledge of food safety and OH&S practices

Proficiency in staff scheduling tools and management systems
