Finn Valley is seeking an experienced Traffic Controller to join our dynamic team in the Newcastle and Upper Hunter Region, NSW.

As a Traffic Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our civil construction projects. This is a site-based position, working across various locations within Newcastle and the Upper Hunter Region.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and control the flow of vehicles, pedestrians and machinery to ensure safety and minimise disruption in work zones or public areas

Install, maintain and remove traffic signs, cones and other safety equipment as per traffic management plans

Ensure the safety of workers, motorists, and pedestrians in and around the site. Stay alert for potential hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.

Use signals, hand gestures, two-way radios, and other tools to communicate with team members, drivers, and the public.

Ensure all traffic control operations comply with regulations and safety standards.

Adapt to various work schedules, including weekends when necessary.

Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have:

A Traffic Controller Card

An Implement Traffic Control Plans Card

A Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan Card (preferred but not mandatory).

A valid White Card (General Construction Induction).

A TfNSW Workers on Foot Certificate

MUST be able to drive a manual car
