Horizons College is an independent Special Assistance School located in Caboolture, dedicated to supporting young people for whom mainstream education has not been a meaningful or successful pathway.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled full-time Secondary Teacher to join our team on a permanent basis, with the position available immediately (Term 4 start negotiable).
The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for teaching Mathematics across Years 7–12. A willingness and capacity to teach additional subjects—particularly Science and the theoretical components of Food Technology—will be highly regarded.
This role is ideal for a teacher who thrives in a flexible and supportive environment and is committed to making a difference in the lives of young people who have disengaged from mainstream education.
You will be supported in the classroom by an Education Support Officer and benefit from a strong team culture, small class sizes, and a collaborative teaching environment.

• Current Queensland Teacher Registration
• A passion for working with young people and a deep understanding of how they learn
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Confidence in designing and delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences
• Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and reporting requirements
• A collaborative approach and a commitment to working as part of a teaching team
