About Our Client

Our client is a non-for-profit organisation with over 130 years of industry experience. They are passionate and dedicated to providing a world-leading linen hire and laundry service throughout the greater Brisbane Region.

They are currently seeking an experience Maintenance Fitter to join their team in a permanent full-time basis located in Banyo.

What You Will Be Doing

As a full time Maintenance Fitter you will be responsible to ensure the smooth running of the production floor machinery. The machinery servicing you will oversee will include laundry presses, irons, washes, conveyor belts, drives, pumps, motors and related production floor equipment. Your main responsibilities will include;

Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment

Read and interpret technical diagrams

Fault finding

Conduct regular maintenance checks and schedule shut downs

Collaborate with other trades and management on site and work with your own TA to complete works on site.

Skills/Experience

Trade Qualified Fitter, ideally in the Mechanical or Maintenance field

Previous experience in maintenance within the industrial industry

Previous experience in laundry service (highly desirable but not mandatory)

Pneumatics experience highly desirable

Ability to fault find and think outside of the box

Obtain a Police check and ability to obtain a QLD Disability Worker Screening Card (NDIS)
