Currently, there are around 5.5 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 717,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaits
The National Disability and Insurance Agency (NDIA) is seeking candidates to fill the APS6 NCC Insights and Reporting vacancy. This is a key role in supporting the growth of the NCC branch by delivering data-driven insights, developing reports using various tools and code, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve service delivery and participant outcomes.

This role sits in the NCC Strategy and Analytics team of the National Contact Centre Branch, part of the NDIA Service Delivery group.
To be successful in this role we are looking for Candidates that can demonstrate experience in the following:
- Developing and delivering clear, targeted reports and dashboards using various reporting tools and coding languages to support data-informed decision making.
- Designing and building data visualisations that communicate actionable insights to stakeholders across operational and strategic levels.
- Transforming and modelling structured and unstructured data to support advanced analytics and reporting needs.
- Conducting statistical analysis to identify patterns in NDIS participant interactions and contact centre performance.
- Preparing and presenting impactful reports to executive audiences, ensuring clarity, relevance, and strategic value.
- Upholding data governance standards by maintaining data integrity, security, and best practices.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
Our ideal candidate will have the proven ability to deliver clear, targeted, and impactful data visualisations, insights, and reports to support data-enabled decision making. This includes designing and building reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, SAS, SQL, and advanced Microsoft Excel, including Power Query and DAX.
To join our Team, you will have the following desirable skills and experience:
- Ability to merge and model multiple datasets from various sources to support complex analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrate strong productivity, organisation, adaptability, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience in Contact Centre environments and familiarity with platforms such as Amazon Connect will be highly regarded.

While this role is ideally performed from ACT-Deakin, QLD-Robina, VIC-Geelong, WA-Midland, VIC-Dandenong, VIC-Richmond, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
